Ever wonder what happens when someone decides to file a lawsuit against the city and, by extension, you the taxpayer? Or who works to make sure that people follow city laws and ordinances covering everything from housing rules to traffic, loud stereos and other regulations designed to protect us all?
The City has a legal staff of seven that each year handles THOUSANDS of cases covering a wide range of topics. Think about it. Every time someone violates the law or a city ordinance one of our attorneys has to be involved to ensure that our community is protected and that we all follow the rules. And in a city of more than 76,000 residents that means that they keep pretty busy.
