Decatur Mayor Julie Moore-Wolfe

Julie Moore-Wolfe is the Director of Community and Government Relations at Decatur Memorial Hospital. She joined DMH in January of 2008, after working four years at the State of Illinois as the Regional Manager for the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
Prior to that, Julie ran the Chamber of Commerce for Decatur and Macon County. She became President of the Chamber after spending 11 years as the Evening News Anchor on WAND-TV in Decatur. She came home to Illinois after working in television news in Amarillo, Texas.
Julie currently serves on the boards of the Decatur Rotary Club, The Decatur Club, the Decatur Celebration, and she is Chairman of the Junior Achievement Board. Previously, she has served on the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce Board, Decatur Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Board, the Economic Development Corporation Board, Partners In Education, Junior Welfare, Easter Seals, Workforce Investment Board, and has volunteered for numerous community organizations and schools.
Julie graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Journalism Degree in 1982. She attended Millikin University as a Business Major from 1978-1980. She is a native of Mattoon, Illinois. She and her husband Doug Wolfe have three children and live in Decatur.
