The Decatur Police Department Needs Your Help

The Decatur Police Department received report that on 02/18/2010, at approximately 0805 hours, a subject attempted to lure a 12 year old female into a vehicle he was driving in the area of Monroe / Cushing Streets. The victim was walking to the bus stop at the time of the incident. This attempted child abduction is currently under investigation and Decatur Police are seeking the help of the public.

With the assistance of Special Agent Randy Strode, with the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), a sketch of the suspect in this Attempted Child Abduction has been completed based upon the likeness as described by the victim.


Also attached is a likeness (according to description and body style) of a vehicle, as described by the victim, similar to that which the suspect was operating at the time of the incident. The vehicle was gray in color.
