65 Gallon Recycling Cart Form
Single Stream Recycling Program

On December 20, 2010 the Decatur City Council approved a Citywide Curbside Single Stream Recycling program. The new program becomes effective April 1, 2011. Unlike the current multiple stream recycling program, the new program does not require sorting of recyclable materials. All acceptable recyclable materials go into one bin/cart (a list of these materials can be found on the City’s website or on the lid of the cart).

Your recyclables will be picked up by your garbage hauler. The day of recycling pickup will be different from the day of garbage pickup. These days will be communicated to you by the City and/or your garbage hauler before the start of the new program.

As part of the new program you are eligible to receive a 65 gallon recycling cart at no additional charge.

Your address must be within the corporate limits of City of Decatur.

Carts are only available for Single Family Households and Multifamily Dwellings of up to six units.
